Lazuli Bunting
Size: 5 – 5½ inches
Although not usually in your backyard, this beautifully-colored bird can be found nesting in nearby natural areas between brushy boarders of forests near grasslands and weed fields. They head south into Mexico for the winter. The male's blue back and head contrasts with its rusty chest.
