Size: 26 – 32 inches

This bird lives in open country and along roadsides and eat dead or decaying animals. Gross!

When flying these vultures can be recognized by the "V" shape of their wings.

Nest: Does not build a nest! Puts eggs on cliff in cave or hollow stump.

In Marin: year round

Fledglings are white. Immatures have black heads.
