American Robin

This bird, a common backyard visitor, likes to eat earthworms and berries. In the Bay Area it is a year-round resident, but moves around when it is not breeding to take advantage of ripening fruit.

Size: 9 – 11 inches

Nest: nest lined with mud cup that is lined with fine grass, usually in tree.

Sounds: "cheerily-cheery up"
